10PM, 32°C. Landing in Ben Gurion Airport — what a start for a journey of breathtaking beauty, an endless cultural site, and a geo-political conflict that I know way more about now than when I arrived, but still failed to swing in any direction.
In a world where opinions are constructed and shared faster than the speed of light, there is probably no topic that deserves more calm consideration without pre-judgement. So many layers of history that most of us are simply not aware of.
As you travel around Israel, it's almost impossible not to think about the conflict as the background of every picture you take. The question of who's right and who's wrong has no answer. But the journey had to start somewhere — and we started where it all began. Jerusalem.

Gut-wrenching stories of displacement and confrontation — of people living metres apart with no shared future in sight. There were so many.

Tel Aviv. The beaches are full of life. The city barely sleeps — buzzing streets, bars and restaurants, everyone making the best of every moment. This contrast between the old and the new, the deeply rooted and the avant-garde, makes Israel one of the most special places to visit.
